Operation Management Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Operation Management Specialist to provide Level 2 support for Windows and Linux workloads running on AWS. The role involves day‑to‑day operational tasks, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance in a regulated, multi‑account cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu), including OS‑level troubleshooting, service restarts, performance checks and log analysis.
• Support core platform services such as AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS on Windows and systemd, cron, yum/apt on Linux.
• Manage AWS resources (EC2, EBS, S3, SSM, CloudWatch) – provisioning, validation, start/stop, resize, snapshot and recovery.
• Assist network teams with VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, and Network Load Balancer integrations; troubleshoot connectivity and firewall issues.
• Implement security hardening (CIS benchmarks), vulnerability remediation, IAM least‑privilege, and endpoint protection agents.
• Perform OS patching using WSUS/SCCM/SSM for Windows and yum/apt/SSM for Linux; automate tasks with PowerShell, Bash and AWS CLI.
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs and knowledge articles; support handover from project to steady‑state operations.

Required profile

• Experience providing Level 2 operational support for Windows and Linux servers.
• Familiarity with AWS core services and cloud‑native management tools.
• Ability to work with network and security teams in a regulated enterprise environment.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
