Operations Engineer - Semiconductor Builds

About the role

Micron is hiring an Operations Engineer to support technology development and engineering build activities by working closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, planning and logistics. The role gives exposure to semiconductor operations, project coordination and technology development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering and technology development builds with cross-functional teams
• Assist in planning and coordinating build schedules, milestones and activities
• Track project progress, deliverables and timelines
• Coordinate material readiness, logistics and resource availability for builds
• Support daily operations including wafer movement, kitting and build execution
• Assist with material shipments, receiving, sample submissions and other logistics
• Ensure operations comply with processes, procedures and quality standards
• Take part in project reviews, prepare status updates and follow up on action items
• Monitor project and operational status and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Identify issues and work with team members to resolve them timely
• Maintain project documentation, reports and records using collaboration tools
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly and share AI-enabled process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
• Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, process engineering, operations or project management is advantageous
• Structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration and clear technical communication
• Accountability, disciplined execution and adaptability in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment

Required skills

• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI or similar
• Exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP, MES or project management tools is a plus
• Basic knowledge of data visualization and automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate)
