Part-Time Lecturer – Art History (Japanese Art focus)

About the role
The School of Humanities at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver undergraduate courses in Art History, with a particular focus on Japanese art, as well as Art Theory and Criticism. The appointment begins in August 2025 and involves both teaching and student mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and lead seminars on Japanese art, art theory and criticism.
- Design and update course syllabi and teaching materials.
- Prepare and conduct class sessions, including discussions and practical activities.
- Assess student work, grade assignments and examinations.
- Provide academic consultation and support to enrolled students.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Art History (PhD preferred).
- Curatorial experience in the region.
- 1–2 years of undergraduate teaching experience.
