Part-Time Lecturer – Power Quality (EE6508)

About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver EE6508 Power Quality to MSc Power Engineering students. The 39‑hour course runs for one semester starting August 2026 and covers power quality phenomena, standards, transient over‑voltages, voltage fluctuations, fault analysis and mitigation, and links technical solutions to economic and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions for EE6508.
- Develop course materials, case studies and assessment items.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Stay current with industry standards and research in power quality.
Required profile
- PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or extensive industry experience in power engineering.
- Specialisation in Power Engineering, Renewable Energy or Power Electronics is preferred.
- Strong academic record (e.g., outstanding PhD performance, thesis awards).
- Passion for teaching and, ideally, prior postgraduate teaching experience.
