About the role
The School of Social Sciences at NTU is seeking part‑time lecturers to deliver undergraduate courses on Ethics and Civics. You will join a dynamic team that explores topics such as human rights, meritocracy, and multiculturalism, primarily through online lectures and tutorials.
Key responsibilities
- Attend scheduled online lectures.
- Conduct tutorials and assess student work for assigned courses.
- Grade assignments, quizzes, tests and exam scripts.
- Collaborate with the course coordinator to address student queries.
Required profile
- A degree in social sciences, preferably with a focus on political science or sociology.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Ethics and Civics topics at the undergraduate level.
- Good knowledge of Singapore’s political and social context is an advantage.
- Availability to tutor/lecture during designated office hours.
Required skills
- None (teaching and subject‑matter knowledge are the primary requirements).
