About the role

The School of Social Sciences at NTU is seeking experienced academics to join as part‑time lecturers for its undergraduate Sociology programme. You will deliver high‑quality teaching in a range of sociological subjects and contribute to the academic development of our students.

Key responsibilities

Propose and/or teach existing undergraduate courses in areas such as state and society, sociological methods, social policy, ethnicity, culture, migration, Southeast Asia, Singapore, and global social change.
Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials, ensuring clear communication of concepts.
Design, administer and grade assessments, examinations and coursework.
Provide timely feedback to students and maintain academic records.
Undertake any additional duties related to undergraduate teaching as required.

Required profile

At least a PhD degree in a social science discipline.
Minimum 1–2 years of tertiary‑level teaching experience with strong evaluation results.
Preference will be given to Singapore citizens or permanent residents.
