About the role
The School of Social Sciences at NTU is seeking experienced academics to join as part‑time lecturers for its undergraduate Sociology programme. You will deliver high‑quality teaching in a range of sociological subjects and contribute to the academic development of our students.
Key responsibilities
- Propose and/or teach existing undergraduate courses in areas such as state and society, sociological methods, social policy, ethnicity, culture, migration, Southeast Asia, Singapore, and global social change.
- Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials, ensuring clear communication of concepts.
- Design, administer and grade assessments, examinations and coursework.
- Provide timely feedback to students and maintain academic records.
- Undertake any additional duties related to undergraduate teaching as required.
Required profile
- At least a PhD degree in a social science discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of tertiary‑level teaching experience with strong evaluation results.
- Preference will be given to Singapore citizens or permanent residents.
