People Manager (Generalist)

About the role

Pave Bank is seeking a People Manager to lead its People function across talent acquisition, operations, compliance, and employee relations. You will partner with leadership to design and scale people processes that support a fast‑growing, globally distributed fintech organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for all functions, building pipelines and ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
• Oversee day‑to‑day People operations, manage payroll, maintain employee records and People systems.
• Develop and continuously improve People policies, ensuring compliance with Singapore, Malaysia and other relevant labour laws.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, driving engagement and fostering a healthy culture.
• Partner strategically with leadership on organisational design, performance management and scaling initiatives.
• Provide ad‑hoc executive support, including scheduling, coordination and internal communications.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of HR experience with strong exposure to recruitment, operations and generalist duties.
• Proven track record building People functions, processes and policies from scratch in a startup or high‑growth environment.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and hiring across multiple geographies.
• Deep knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia Employment Acts; familiarity with other international frameworks is a plus.
• Hands‑on payroll management experience with multi‑country compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced, ambiguous setting.
