Perception Engineer Intern

About the role

As a member of the Innovation team, you will work on software development of cutting‑edge system solutions. The internship provides hands‑on experience building algorithms and systems that enable intelligent visual understanding for real‑world mobility applications, with opportunities to contribute to research and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and optimizing computer vision and perception algorithms.
• Develop and test object detection, tracking, and recognition models using state‑of‑the‑art techniques.
• Conduct research on emerging computer vision methods, including literature reviews and benchmarking new algorithms.
• Experiment with novel approaches for object detection and perception.
• Work with large datasets to train and evaluate models.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers to integrate vision algorithms into production systems.

Required profile

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C/C++.
• Understanding of computer vision concepts including image processing, feature extraction and perception systems.
• Experience with object detection algorithms (e.g., YOLO, Faster R-CNN, SSD).
• Exposure to SLAM, sensor fusion, or 3D perception is an advantage.
• Experience with OpenCV and GPU acceleration (CUDA) is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of deep neural networks, hyper‑parameter tuning, and agentic AI is an advantage.
• Good communication, problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
