Performance Optimization Architect – LIVE Platform

About the role

The Performance Optimization Architect will lead end‑to‑end performance initiatives for TikTok LIVE, shaping the user journey from content distribution to live viewing. You will work on a global scale, tackling complex technical challenges that impact billions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full performance lifecycle of live streaming, from distribution quality to room entry conversion.
• Optimize client‑side experience, including power consumption, thermal performance, smoothness, and stability.
• Improve go‑live flow, conversion rates, and system stability for high‑traffic events.
• Design and maintain an end‑to‑end performance metrics framework and diagnostic system.
• Lead cross‑domain technical projects and collaborate with R&D, product, operations, and infrastructure teams.
