Planner – Project Scheduling Specialist

About the role

You will provide expert scheduling support for projects, creating detailed timelines and resource plans to ensure on‑time delivery. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will manage risks, track progress and produce accurate reports that drive project success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Create tender schedules and resource plans that are competitive and achievable.
• Perform critical‑path and float analysis to identify schedule risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to define work breakdown structures, milestones and deadlines.
• Align schedules with overall project goals and ensure proper resource allocation.
• Synchronise material and equipment delivery with project timelines in collaboration with Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.
• Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Document project activities, variations and schedule changes.
• Provide accurate schedule forecasts and clear narrative updates.
• Prepare comprehensive status and performance reports, including S‑Curve updates and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years as a Planner/Scheduler.
• Candidates without experience but willing to learn are welcome.
• Experience in actual construction is an advantage.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 planning software (including resource loading and progress reporting).
• Microsoft Project.
