Planning and Control Planner (Shift)

About the role

Applied Materials is hiring a Production and Control Planner (shift) in Singapore. The role supports material control, inventory transactions, quality notification implementation and project execution, acting as a key contact for part status inquiries and ensuring accurate inventory management and system transactions for manufacturing operations. It is a full-time position on a 12-hour shift with a 4-3-3-4 work schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Part status management: respond to ad hoc part status queries from Production, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain, give timely updates on material availability, inventory status, shortages and open orders, and resolve discrepancies in part status and inventory records.
• Quality notification (QN) implementation: coordinate and execute QN activities and work with Quality, Engineering and Production to minimise the impact of quality-related issues and changes.
• Production control and scheduling support: perform SAP transactions for material movements, goods receipts, inventory transfers and stock adjustments, investigate and correct transaction discrepancies, place project materials into On-Hand inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams so material, inventory and production status align with project milestones.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, production control, inventory management or supply chain operations.
• Strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and stakeholder management, and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP, especially MIGO transactions, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Quality Notification (QN) processes is an advantage.
