Planning Assistant

About the role

As a Planning Assistant you will work closely with the Site Planner to ensure on‑time delivery of semiconductor products. You will translate business and customer requirements into realistic production plans, monitor execution, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily and weekly production schedules, taking into account inventory, capacity, cycle time and yield to achieve on‑time delivery targets.
• Kick‑start manufacturing by kitting wafers using MAM and SAP systems.
• Identify plan misses, develop recovery or back‑fill plans, and communicate root‑cause risks with mitigation actions.
• Lead daily/weekly commit reviews with GSC, Central Planning, Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Logistics, ensuring clear action ownership.
• Escalate critical risks with data‑backed impact assessments and propose mitigation paths.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools to improve planning efficiency and support continuous‑improvement initiatives such as automating Tableau/Excel dashboards.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering kitting activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Strong digital fluency and basic AI literacy for responsible tool usage.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Required skills

• Production and material planning expertise.
• Capacity analysis and optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP (or equivalent).
• Data analysis and reporting skills, including Tableau and Excel.
• Experience with MAM (Manufacturing Automation Management) tools.
