Portfolio Management Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Portfolio Management Intern within its Asia Investment Banking Division's Portfolio Management Department, based in Singapore. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is open to Singaporean and PR students only.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the lending products monitored by the team, such as non-recourse project finance (power, renewables, oil & gas and infrastructure) and real estate finance.
• Support managing a portfolio of loan assets across the Asia and Oceania regions, including reviewing borrower ratings, checking covenants, preparing credit applications and collaterals, and proposing ways to mitigate credit risk.
• Analyse industry and economic trends affecting the projects financed by the bank.
• Support process improvement initiatives and data management.
• Prepare reports for management and other departments as part of daily operations.

Required profile

• Strong written and spoken English.
• Keen eye for detail, proactive, people-oriented and result-driven.
• Able to multi-task and deliver work under demanding timelines.
• Finance studies background is an advantage.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or another database system.
