Portfolio Sales Officer – GRIT Trainee

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Portfolio Sales Officer to join United Overseas Bank’s GRIT trainee programme. In this role you will focus on acquiring new unsecured loan customers through outbound calls and lead management, supporting the bank’s retail lending growth.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to existing customers using provided leads to sell unsecured loan products.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets for loan acquisition.
• Present and persuade customers on the benefits of unsecured retail banking products.
• Collect and verify income documents and other required paperwork for loan applications.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow‑up actions.
• Work a standard five‑day week with overtime as required by management.

Required profile

• Strong sales‑oriented attitude with a willingness to serve customers.
• Good communication and persuasion skills.
• Ability to handle documentation and follow application procedures.
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a banking environment.
