Post-Doctoral Fellow – Conductors & Materials Interfaces

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a highly motivated Post‑Doctoral Fellow to lead independent research on ion conductors and their interfaces. The work will focus on solid‑state and high‑energy batteries, as well as novel electronic devices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on solid‑state batteries, high‑energy batteries, and materials synthesis.
• Develop materials for sensors, semiconductors, switches, and transistors.
• Design and perform electrochemical, mechanical, and advanced materials characterisations.
• Collaborate with internal and external academic and industrial partners on joint projects.
• Prepare manuscripts for high‑impact journals and present findings at international conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposal writing and new project development.
• Mentor and supervise PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterisation.
