About the role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research in the Division of Physics and Applied Physics and the Division of Mathematical Sciences. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mechanics to work on shape‑morphing materials and their applications to adaptive aeronautics.
Key responsibilities
- Develop novel designs and mechanisms for shape‑morphing structures.
- Create models for sensing and control in shape‑morphing systems.
- Implement experimental prototypes of the designs.
- Engage in scientific exchange with project collaboration partners.
- Prepare reports, scientific papers, and presentations.
Required profile
- PhD in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Research experience on shape‑morphing structures, mechanical metamaterials, or computational mechanics.
- Evidence of potential for excellence in research.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
