Principal Analyst Cost Accounting

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is looking for a Principal Analyst Cost Accounting. The role is a team player focused on financial control, compliance and complex operational accounting, especially within manufacturing and inventory. It sits alongside a Senior Accountant position.

Key responsibilities

• Audit coordination: act as a key contact for annual internal and external audits, prepare SOX schedules and documentation, and help answer auditor questions
• Internal controls: develop, document and monitor controls protecting company inventories and ensuring accurate financial data
• Closing: run month-end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures, including complex journal entries, with the finance team
• Reconciliations: perform and review reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts (global inventory) and the general ledger
• Reporting: support inventory-related policy updates and ad hoc requests such as quarterly corporate reporting on inventory transactions
• Support EHS and security requirements and programmes

Required profile

• BS in Accountancy
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Standard costing experience (preferred)
• Oracle or SAP experience (preferred)
