Principal Component Validation Engineer (HBM)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Principal Component Validation Engineer for its Fab 10A site. The role coordinates with internal and external teams to prepare for silicon, validates HBM component validation equipment and testing flows, and works with design validation, quality assurance and global quality teams to ensure silicon meets product expectations and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external teams on preparation for silicon and work with manufacturing teams to ensure resources are available
• Identify and validate HBM component validation equipment and testing flow, and debug and fix failures (design or process)
• Work with DV and QA teams on customer returns to identify new tests, and partner with the Global Quality Team on reliability
• Create and deliver presentations and participate in meetings, and act as product-specific point of contact
• Troubleshoot, develop or validate HBM component validation testing programs and evaluate data sheets for feedback to application engineers
• Provide technical training, OJT and data interpretation guidance to new engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in the memory semiconductor industry, with a mix of hardware and software skills
• Proven track record of solving silicon issues and driving them to closure
• Previous memory experience preferred; basic understanding of HBM and/or DRAM operations and computer networking
• Team player with good communication, data analytics and presentation skills

• Linux, Python/C/C++, Verilog, UVM and version control (git, svn)
• Analog and digital circuit debugging and root cause analysis
• Data analysis and scripting tools such as JMP, Python V93K or Magnum ATE
