Principal Engineer – Coastal Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of coastal infrastructure projects such as quay walls, jetties, revetments and land reclamation works. The role will be based in Singapore and will support both local and overseas assignments, working closely with project leads, clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve C&S and geotechnical designs for coastal structures.
• Interpret site investigation data and guide foundation and retaining system design.
• Prepare tender documents, technical specifications and manage subcontractor surveys.
• Oversee main contracts with clients, ensure proper record filing and submission to authorities.
• Supervise design and site activities, lead workshops and regular coordination meetings.
• Produce technical reports, structural calculation packages and ensure compliance with statutory standards and codes of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by PEB.
• Minimum 10 years of design and project‑management experience in a consultancy, focusing on marine or coastal infrastructure.
• Experience delivering projects in Southeast Asia.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven ability to manage contracts and multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
