Quantity Surveyor – Energy Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (Energy) will support the delivery of energy‑related construction projects by managing contracts, costs and value‑engineering activities. You will work closely with project managers, clients and contractors to ensure commercial and technical alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents, conduct gap analysis of commercial and technical specifications, and perform pre‑tender estimations.
• Evaluate tenders, recommend award decisions, and support post‑award contract administration.
• Handle payment valuations, cash‑flow projections, cost variance analysis, and change‑control processes.
• Assess and implement contract terms on claims, maintain contract correspondence, and produce final accounts.
• Conduct value‑engineering studies and feasibility analyses.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and all project stakeholders.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the line manager or business head.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a consultant Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in oil & gas, power, or large civil and infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Strong technical competency in contract and cost management.
• Team player with leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of various Forms of Conditions of Contracts.
