Principal Engineer - PD SG Wet Process

About the role

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead wet‑process development for advanced NAND products. The role focuses on optimizing unit processes, driving yield improvements, and translating future device requirements into robust manufacturing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize wet‑etch processes to meet yield and quality targets for next‑generation NAND.
• Quantify benefits of innovative process or equipment solutions and guide early adoption.
• Prioritize critical technology challenges for the Singapore wet‑etch team and lead R&D breakthroughs.
• Integrate and troubleshoot processes within cross‑functional teams to improve yield and quality.
• Collaborate with advanced‑node peers on technology choices and define clear process requirements.
• Identify disruptive processes early and work with manufacturing to define viable paths.
• Conduct fundamental research, hardware evaluations, and generate IP relevant to Micron.
• Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methodologies.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary projects, provide technical counsel to management, and drive innovation through patents and technical papers.
• Incorporate AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.

Required profile

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical or Micro‑electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with leading‑edge wet‑etch technology.
• Strong understanding of chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, mass transport, and film/interface phenomena.
