Principal Engineer – Solution Architect (xCode)

About the role

HTX, Singapore’s first Science and Technology agency, is building a new xCode function to develop core software modules for mission‑critical systems. As a Principal Engineer – Solution Architect you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑level solutions that meet complex business needs while ensuring security, scalability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end solutions across multiple systems, applications and platforms.
• Create solution blueprints, integration patterns, data flows and technology‑stack recommendations.
• Define technology roadmaps, architectural principles and governance frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess fit within the existing landscape.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product managers and senior leadership to translate vision into technical designs.
• Lead architectural reviews, guide technology selection and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Oversee implementation to guarantee adherence to architectural intent and quality standards.
• Mentor development teams on architectural patterns, design principles and best practices.
