Principal Industry Solution Engineer – Energy & Utilities

About the role

The Industry Solutions Engineer leads the Energy & Utilities advisory and solution delivery throughout the pre‑sales cycle, acting as a trusted advisor to help customers transform their experience across the value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enterprise organisations in Energy & Utilities (and related sectors) through discovery sessions and workshops to understand challenges and goals.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision‑makers, presenting innovative custom solutions that align with business value.
• Coordinate and lead the full solution cycle, collaborating with technical and business resources to deliver compelling Salesforce and partner offerings.
• Present the unique benefits of Salesforce to stakeholders from frontline staff to C‑level executives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven track record delivering differentiated custom solutions and presentations to senior decision‑makers.
• Experience orchestrating complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external resources.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and strong self‑motivation.

Required skills

• Salesforce platform expertise.
• Understanding of Cloud Computing, SFA, Service & Support, Marketing and Mobile solutions.
• Knowledge of relational databases and web technologies.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, consulting methodologies and enterprise architecture concepts.
