Principal/Senior/Technician, Global Engineering Labs

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Principal/Senior/Technician for its Global Engineering Labs. The role covers electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process, working closely with machine vendors and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to identify problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts, rebuild engineering equipment and perform preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Ensure record keeping and documentation in the equipment tracking system, and support product tracking and inventory controls.
• Respond to customer requests and prioritize them accordingly.
• Support internal and external audits, liaise with machine vendors on equipment setup, modification, upgrade and repair, and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Follow safety procedures and work rules, including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety, and operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum polytechnic engineering diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies is preferred.
• High level of cooperation, good communication skills, proactivity and ability to multi-task.
