Principal/Staff Process Integration Engineer - NAND Technology

About the role

Micron is hiring a Principal/Staff Process Integration Engineer for NAND technology integration at its Fab 10N/X site. The role leads one or more process modules for 3D NAND semiconductor devices, defines specifications, drives continual improvement and coordinates a development team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process modules for 3D NAND devices and define structural specifications and process requirements
• Set a clear direction and vision for the module and establish a continual improvement plan
• Identify early structure, electrical and reliability issues and solve them with a model-based approach
• Optimize manufacturability, parametric verification and process control
• Analyze materials physically and electrically and move new materials from research to production
• Build and run device and process experiments, analyze results and assess statistical significance
• Assemble and coordinate a team of process engineers and set goals and metrics
• Submit patent disclosures regularly and support technology transfer from R&D to high-volume manufacturing
• Present key information, drive decisions and coordinate across cross-functional teams
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly and share AI-enabled improvements

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wafer fabrication process development (dry etch, photolithography, films, wet process, CMP or process integration)
• Strong understanding of PI modules on new NAND technologies and their structural and electrical fail mechanisms
• In-depth knowledge of non-volatile memories (NAND), process flow, device-process interaction and yield and reliability issues
• Experience in R&D and technology transfer to manufacturing
• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Required skills

• Desirable: scripting, programming, engineering, business intelligence or analytics software such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau, Power BI
• Data analysis, problem solving and process integration optimization
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy
