Probe Process Engineer

About the role

The Probe Process Engineer will design, implement and maintain the recipes and system configurations that control material flow and quality checks across Micron’s probe operations in Singapore. This entry‑level position works closely with manufacturing, quality, software and analytics teams to ensure seamless automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define, set up and maintain probe process recipes, tool routing, quality checks and product disposition logic.
• Develop end‑to‑end process flows for multiple probe tools, aligning process intent with system behavior.
• Translate manufacturing material requirements into system configurations, automation rules and logic.
• Partner with quality teams to implement disposition logic, validation checks and alerts.
• Collaborate with Probe Software, Analytics and Automation teams on system changes and automation deployments.
• Perform system configuration, validation and basic troubleshooting for production issues.
• Support setup for new devices, process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness while complying with standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, growth orientation and effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership potential through teamwork or extracurricular activities.
• Passion for continuous learning and applying AI‑enabled tools responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Perl and/or Python programming.
• SQL query writing and database interaction.
• Web development basics: Angular, HTML, CSS.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based systems (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, AlmaLinux).
• Familiarity with Tableau or PowerBI for data visualization (advantage).
• Exposure to AI and Machine Learning techniques (advantage).
