Process Control System Engineer (QEM PCS)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Process Control System (PCS) engineer at its Fab 10 facility. You will build advanced process control, automation and analytics solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and yields, and gain exposure to many process areas of the fab. The PCS team develops smart-manufacturing applications that integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with process teams to develop, implement and improve advanced control solutions for optimal manufacturing performance.
• Create manufacturing and business process automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Use manufacturing process data with statistical analysis or machine learning to identify problems and turn them into control and automation solutions.
• Work with a global team to maintain, align and improve process control applications.
• Develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work, and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset and passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus; demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Required skills

• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, problem solving and operational tasks.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
