Process Engineer – Chocolate Production

About the role

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Process Engineer to support the scale‑up of chocolate production from laboratory trials to full‑line manufacturing. The role works closely with the Assistant Process Manager to ensure production meets quality, schedule and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and follow up production processes to guarantee on‑time delivery of high‑quality chocolate products.
• Set, analyse and improve chocolate process parameters and guidelines.
• Lead new‑product industrial trials, recipe transfers and equipment testing projects.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure traceability and rework control.
• Collaborate with the HACCP team to verify that all products meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Participate in pack‑code creation projects and support shift rotations when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the chocolate or food‑processing industry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and proactively drive projects to completion.

Required skills

• SAP knowledge
