Process Engineer

About the role

GlobalFoundries is a semiconductor manufacturer offering full-time career opportunities in its Woodlands, Singapore site. The Process Engineer develops, optimizes and controls manufacturing processes to meet quality and technology requirements, drives continuous improvement and works with cross-functional teams. Candidates without prior work experience are welcome to apply, as comprehensive training and development will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards
• Create, analyze and review technical charts
• Establish SOPs (standard operating procedures) and FMEAs (failure mode and effects analyses) for related processes
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications
• Drive continuous improvement plans to improve process performance indices
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver organizational goals
• Perform all activities safely and responsibly, supporting EHS and security requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Microelectronics or another related engineering discipline
• Preferred: prior related internship or co-op experience
• Preferred: demonstrated leadership experience in workplace, school projects or competitions
• Preferred: project management skills, including navigating ambiguity
• Preferred: strong interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to boost productivity and decision-making
