Procurement Lead (Global) - Data Centre

About the role

A rapidly growing investment-backed full-stack AI data centre platform is looking for an experienced procurement professional to own sourcing, tendering, supplier management and procurement governance across its portfolio of data centre development projects. This is a hands-on role working closely with development, engineering, construction, operations, finance and legal teams, with exposure to major capital projects and strategic supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement strategy, frameworks, policies, processes, controls and governance, including reporting and KPI frameworks
• Manage end-to-end procurement for construction, equipment and services, leading RFIs, RFQs and RFPs from market engagement to contract award
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms and ensure sourcing events are competitive, transparent and auditable
• Drive cost optimisation, benchmarking, should-cost analysis and supplier consolidation; track and report cost savings
• Build and manage supplier relationships, run performance reviews and resolve commercial issues
• Support major capital projects and work with development, construction, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams
• Maintain procurement records, contract databases and spend visibility, and produce regular reporting
• Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements and internal controls, and manage supply chain and long-lead risks

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of procurement, sourcing or commercial experience
• Data centre construction procurement experience
• Experience managing competitive tenders, supplier negotiations and major capital projects
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated cost-saving results
• Stakeholder management, independent work and strong analytical and reporting skills
