Procurement Officer – 1 Year Renewable Contract

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for electronic and mechanical components needed for manufacturing. You will ensure that parts are delivered on schedule, suppliers are paid promptly, and any returns are handled efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Create and monitor purchase orders based on system demand and follow up with suppliers on committed delivery dates.
• Expedite orders and closely track delivery status to guarantee on‑time receipt.
• Communicate daily with suppliers via calls and on‑site meetings to capture price, lead‑time, and change information.
• Maintain and share routing purchasing deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop mitigation plans for critical materials to meet lead‑time requirements and avoid supply risk.
• Drive procurement process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Manage supplier relationships, participate in performance reviews, and support improvement plans.
• Assist with quality and control activities and contribute to continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of procurement experience in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment or semiconductor industry.
• Proven ability to manage global suppliers and negotiate effectively.
• Positive attitude, high ownership, and strong teamwork skills.
