Product Compliance Senior Manager - APAC Assets

About the role

Wise is looking for a Regulatory Product Compliance Senior Manager to join its growing Product Compliance team and support the Assets Product Compliance team in APAC. The role is hands-on and sits in the first line of Product Compliance, embedded in the Product team, working with product teams in Singapore and London to make the Assets offering compliant. The Assets product lets customers invest money held with Wise in assets such as stocks or bonds while keeping instant access and spending.

Key responsibilities

• Regulatory risk and remediation: help Product and operational teams interpret regulatory requirements and improve processes to avoid breaches, and work with Risk and Compliance to identify regulatory risks, gaps and upcoming regulations and agree mitigation actions
• Product design: turn regulatory needs into compliant product features, analyse new products before launch and implement required controls
• Use regulatory analysis to find ways to improve the product proposition and competitiveness
• Represent Wise in external meetings and give input on regulatory matters, reflecting a customer-oriented culture

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a compliance role within retail investments, broker-dealer or capital markets
• Deep working knowledge of securities regulations in Singapore (e.g. MAS Securities and Futures Act) or Australia (Corporations Act)
• Familiarity with the evolving expectations of MAS or ASIC/APRA for capital market firms, ideally also payment services and electronic money firms
• Willingness to travel, as the Assets team is mainly based in London
• Legally authorised to work in Singapore
