Product Engineering Engineer / Senior Engineer – Semiconductor

About the role

SSMC is seeking a Product Engineering Engineer (or Senior Engineer) to join its Product Engineering Department. The role focuses on ensuring first‑time silicon yield, driving yield improvement, and collaborating with customers and fab teams to resolve product and process issues.

Key responsibilities

• Benchmark D0 for baseline and products and ensure first‑time silicon yield.
• Identify and resolve product, test, and fab‑process yield limiters quickly.
• Act as technical interface with business lines and customers.
• Perform pre‑tapeout risk assessments and communicate mitigation actions.
• Conduct product yield analyses to pinpoint root causes of wafer sort and final‑test failures.
• Set up fault‑diagnostic capabilities and drive yield‑improvement task forces.
• Perform electrical and physical failure analysis to isolate failure locations.
• Collaborate with customers and mother fab on design‑for‑manufacturing issues.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Physics.
• 2–8 years of experience in product or test engineering, failure analysis, or process integration.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, wafer fabrication processes, and electronics fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
