Production Assistant Supervisor

About the role

A globally recognized Japanese food manufacturer, which makes premium soy sauce and related seasonings and serves markets across Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific, is hiring a Production Assistant Supervisor in Woodlands, Singapore. The role manages daily production on assigned lines, ensures food safety compliance and supervises production staff. The position is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily production activities and assigned lines, keeping efficiency, schedules and output targets on track
• Check product quality and ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP and ISO
• Supervise and guide production staff, allocate tasks and support training initiatives
• Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, recommend improvements and help implement lean practices
• Enforce workplace safety and hygiene protocols and report hazards promptly
• Maintain production equipment in good condition, coordinating preventive servicing and repairs with the maintenance team
• Monitor raw materials, packaging supplies and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Prepare daily production reports, communicate progress and escalate issues to the Production Manager / Assistant Manager
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager

Required profile

• At least 5 years of production working experience or relevant experience
• Food manufacturing experience
• Diploma-level academic qualification
• Willingness to work overtime on Saturdays
• Proactive, disciplined, with time management and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Basic understanding of food safety compliance
• Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOP)

What we offer

• Salary of SGD 4,000 to 4,500
• Working hours Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm, Saturday overtime 8:00am to 5:30pm; overtime pay applies
• Transport allowance of SGD 180 per month after confirmation
• Annual leave equivalent to one month's basic salary
• Variable bonus depending on company and individual performance
