Production Planner (6-Month Contract or Perm Role)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Planner/Material Planner to support production scheduling, inventory management, and demand planning in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures timely product availability, optimal inventory levels, and coordination across cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production of finished goods and sub‑assemblies based on customer demand and forecast.
• Manage inventory levels and monitor stock availability across distribution centres.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Review demand fluctuations and adjust production plans accordingly.
• Monitor backorders, inventory performance, and planning KPIs.
• Maintain and update planning parameters in ERP/MRP systems.
• Prepare inventory and planning reports for management review.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and daily operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Production Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of production planning, scheduling, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to use reporting tools for data analysis.
