Production Supervisor – Battery Recycling Plant

About the role

The Production Supervisor / Area Owner will lead daily production operations at our Battery Recycling Plant. You will ensure effective production planning, process stability, and quality performance while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production teams and manufacturing activities, covering production planning, process troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Conduct employee performance reviews, addressing performance gaps, time management, discipline, and work commitment.
• Oversee production scheduling, route sheets, and team performance metrics to meet output targets.
• Report productivity, quality, and training metrics to management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement programmes, investigations, corrective actions, and non‑conformance reviews.
• Ensure staff are trained and competent, including overtime assignments when required.
• Monitor raw material usage, propose solutions for shortages, and manage material and labour variances.
• Oversee basic maintenance of production machinery to maximise equipment uptime.
• Maintain production floor cleanliness and safety through daily 5S and housekeeping checks.
• Collaborate with operators to improve process efficiency and operational stability.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to conduct performance reviews and manage workforce capability.
• Excellent organisational skills for scheduling, material management, and variance analysis.
