Production Technician 1

About the role

Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Production Technician 1 at its Tuas plant in Singapore. You will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality medical devices, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment according to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality checks and inspections, documenting results accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
• Prepare and set up materials and components for production runs.
• Complete production records, batch records and other documentation.
• Adhere to GMP, ISO standards and company policies, and take part in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Required profile

• GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field such as Precision Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Technology.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail and ability to work in a cleanroom wearing PPE.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
