Production Technician I – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Technician I supports the manufacturing of instrument products, ensuring compliance with GMP procedures and delivering consistent high quality. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor and line leaders to meet daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor/Line Leader in daily line operations and act as interim lead when required.
• Lead a team of operators/technicians, assign tasks, and ensure proper training and competency.
• Interpret technical specifications, draft procedures, and create troubleshooting guides.
• Analyze yield issues, collaborate with Engineering on corrective actions, and support controlled experiments.
• Maintain 5S and Lean objectives, perform inventory counts, and manage material kitting.
• Ensure assembly and testing follow cGMP, ISO 9001/13485, MDSAP, and safety standards.
• Update training matrices and submit daily activity reports.

Required profile

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP/cGMP).
• Ability to lead and train production staff.
• Strong analytical mindset for yield and quality investigations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality protocols.

• ERP system operation
• Basic software operating system proficiency
• Knowledge of cGMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and MDSAP requirements
• 5S and Lean manufacturing principles
• Inventory management and material kitting
• Troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
