Production Technician (Packing)

About the role

The Production Technician (Packing) is responsible for operating and maintaining tablet and capsule final packing equipment in a GMP‑compliant cleanroom environment. You will ensure that all packing activities are performed safely, accurately, and in line with standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, clean, assemble and maintain tablet and capsule packing equipment.
• Document all operations according to cGMP requirements and batch records.
• Monitor in‑process parameters and perform checks throughout each batch.
• Complete all required records and documentation for packing equipment.
• Maintain work‑area cleanliness to meet cGMP standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering for breakdown rectification of primary and secondary packing lines.
• Participate in equipment and process qualification activities.
• Assist in investigations of process deviations and compliance matters.
• Ensure adherence to GxP, safety and quality policies.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• 2‑5 years of manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Willingness to work in the Tuas area within a cleanroom environment with full gowning.
• Good team player with a positive learning attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safe working practices and cGMP.
• Experience with bottle or blister oral solid dosage packing (preferred).
• Operation of tablet and capsule packing equipment.
