Program Engineer / Senior Program Engineer

About the role

GVT is looking for an experienced Program Engineer or Senior Program Engineer to oversee and coordinate engineering projects in the precision engineering and semiconductor sector. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet client specifications and company standards, bridging engineering teams, program managers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPI, manufacturing and quality assurance teams to meet project objectives
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical and logistical issues
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets
• Provide technical expertise on CNC machining, micro-fabrication and metrology, and oversee prototype development and manufacturability
• Carry out feasibility studies and risk assessments for high-precision components
• Ensure adherence to quality and tolerance standards, and coordinate testing, validation and inspection
• Act as main contact for clients, suppliers and internal teams, and prepare progress reports and technical documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Precision Engineering or a related field
• 4-5 years or more of experience in program or project engineering in precision engineering or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of precision manufacturing processes and materials
• Preferred: experience managing customer relationships in semiconductor, aerospace, medical devices and analytical life sciences

Required skills

• Project management, including tools such as MS Project
• CNC machining, CAD/CAM software and high-precision measurement tools (a plus)
• SolidWorks, CATIA or AutoCAD (a plus)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 (preferred)
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing and laser machining (a plus)
