Project Director – Power Plant Development

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of power plant projects. The role requires deep knowledge of power generation and clean‑energy technologies, combined with strong project‑management expertise to guide multidisciplinary teams toward successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Develop and implement project‑management strategies to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new plant developments or modifications.
• Coordinate with local authorities and regulators to secure permits and approvals.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
• Oversee demolition, construction, commissioning, and start‑up phases.
• Identify project risks and devise mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work with operations teams to enable smooth handover from construction to full‑scale operation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Engineering degree accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in major industrial project management, preferably in power plants.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and commercial aspects of the industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven leadership, team‑management, and interpersonal skills.
