Project Engineer – Civil Construction

About the role

The Project Engineer (Civil) will support the construction team by ensuring projects are executed in line with design, quality, safety and cost requirements. Reporting to the manager or team leader, you will coordinate technical aspects and maintain project documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Study and interpret ISO standards, technical drawings, scope, contractual and sub‑contract agreements.
• Collaborate with consultants to resolve technical issues before construction starts.
• Prepare and submit short‑ and medium‑term programmes for approval and execute works according to the detailed schedule.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, quality procedures and EHS requirements, with a focus on excellent housekeeping.
• Implement quality recordings, analyse results and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
• Maintain proper records to satisfy EHS, quality, client and authority requirements.
• Manage cost by controlling material wastage and avoiding rework that impacts time and budget.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Preferably experience with HDB projects.
