Project Engineer – Civil & Structural (Main Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead civil and structural works for a main‑contractor across Singapore. The role involves coordinating design, construction and compliance activities on HDB residential projects, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee civil & structural works on site in line with approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings and method statements for accuracy and buildability.
• Liaise with consultants, sub‑contractors and other trades (M&E, architectural) to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Prepare and submit drawings, reports and documentation to consultants and authorities promptly.
• Monitor site progress, ensuring compliance with design requirements, project specifications and safety standards.
• Attend site meetings, conduct inspections and walkthroughs during construction phases.
• Track test reports, material submissions and certifications (ST, Green Mark, constructability).
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to company ISO standards.
• Handle CBP coordination, method statement and material submissions, issue RFI/RFA and liaise with consultants.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with a main contractor on HDB building projects.
• Hands‑on experience with HDB residential, BTO, upgrading or public housing construction.
• Strong knowledge of structural specifications, authority requirements and construction coordination.
• Ability to review drawings, prepare method statements and manage technical submissions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is advantageous.
