Project Engineer – Engineering Projects

About the role

As a Project Engineer at Fuji SMBE Industries Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in planning, managing and executing complex engineering projects. Based in our North Region office in Singapore, you will oversee the full project lifecycle from initial scoping to final commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to execute design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing appropriate contingency measures.
• Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with engineering standards, regulations and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors and external partners to align on requirements and objectives.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
• Strong project management abilities to plan, organise and deliver complex technical projects.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, design methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools for planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and decision‑making capabilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
