Project Manager - Data Centre PMC (West Area)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Project Manager for a data centre new build project in the West Area of Singapore. The role covers specific scopes, phases or sectors of the project, such as fit-outs, specific floors or utility buildings, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, issues are resolved in real time and documentation stays clean.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned construction scopes (data hall fit-outs, office area blocks, external utility yards) so delivery matches technical drawings and specifications
• Review and process RFIs and material submittals, coordinating with designers, QPs and contractors to avoid site delays
• Conduct daily site inspections to check contractor progress, identify trade conflicts and verify work against approved drawings
• Lead progress meetings, look-ahead scheduling and trade coordination meetings, clearing blockers and holding contractors accountable
• Write weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management, tracking KPIs, schedule health and open site issues
• Check contractor submittals against local regulatory standards, such as Singapore Standards for electrical installations or lightning protection

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of construction project management experience, including at least 2 to 3 years on data centres or high-tech facilities such as pharmaceutical plants
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building or Construction Management
• PMP training or certification is an advantage

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of architectural finishes, structural containment paths, fiber routing and core mechanical and electrical installations
• Understanding of construction sequencing, trade dependencies and handovers (e.g. raised floors before server racks, containment finished before cabling)
