Project Manager – Shaft Line Repair Services

About the role

Wärtsilä Shaft Line Repair Services (SLRS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead global repair projects that return vessels to operation with minimal downtime. You will own the full project lifecycle, from proposal to execution and closure, working closely with commercial, technical and field service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery and act as the main contact for all stakeholders.
• Support sales and calculate project costs, ensuring accurate quotations.
• Manage contracts and guarantee compliance with Wärtsilä processes.
• Lead technical reviews of repair procedures, parts manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
• Define sourcing strategies, coordinate procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Guide onsite installation, providing clear instructions to field engineers, shipyards and customers.
• Coordinate logistics, parts delivery, quality checks and field service engineer assignments.
• Contribute to SLRS vision by defining and implementing global processes, procedures and systems.

Required profile

• Passion for advancing Wärtsilä Shaft Line Solutions (SLS) end‑to‑end business.
• Relevant technical degree (engineering or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, inspection, or project management within the shipbuilding or naval equipment industry.
• Experience working with navy users and large‑scale maritime projects.
