Project Manager (Transformers)

About the role

Hitachi Energy Singapore is looking for a Project Manager within its Transformers team. The role suits people who enjoy a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once and collaborating across functions, and who take ownership of project execution from order handover to project closure. It is open to experienced project managers as well as early-career professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of assigned transformer projects in line with contractual requirements, schedule, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate multiple projects at once, managing priorities and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive project planning, monitoring, reporting and risk management.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, commercial, service and customer teams.
• Coordinate milestones such as documentation approvals, FAT, shipment planning, installation, testing, commissioning and close-out.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing milestones, customer payments and revenue recognition plans.
• Identify risks and put mitigation plans in place, and keep stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial or related disciplines preferred).
• Experience in project coordination, project management, order execution, operations, engineering, manufacturing or customer-facing project environments.
• Ability to manage multiple activities, stakeholders or projects at once is advantageous.
• PMP or other project management certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Mandarin is highly regarded because of the need to work with Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong organisational skills and hands-on approach.
• Communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Project, Power BI or similar tools is beneficial.
