Purchaser (Pre-Owned Car)

About the role

The Purchaser (Pre‑Owned Car) is responsible for acquiring used vehicles that meet the company's purchase terms and contribute to profitability. This role works closely with the sales and inventory teams to ensure a balanced and healthy stock of pre‑owned cars.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase used cars in line with established terms and conditions.
• Determine specifications, conditions and valuations for each vehicle to maximise company profit.
• Monitor make/model mix and stock ageing to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Generate purchasing and inventory reports as required.
• Conduct regular market analysis to inform buying decisions.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties related to the procurement function.

Required profile

• Minimum ‘O’ level education or higher.
• At least 2 years of experience as a purchaser in automotive sales.
• Technical experience in the automotive sector is an advantage.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence.
• Strong commercial acumen and interpersonal abilities.
• Confident, hardworking and self‑driven attitude.
