Purchasing Officer – End‑to‑End Procurement

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will own the full procurement cycle for auxiliary raw and packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with company policies. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance, you will support plant reliability and overall business goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ), negotiate commercial terms, and select suppliers.
• Manage order placement, monitor delivery status, and handle logistics invoice verification.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, including testing sample coordination.
• Track purchase order progress, expedite deliveries, and resolve delays or quality issues.
• Maintain supplier performance, relationships, and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs and timelines.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases per company procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, chemical or industrial settings.
• Proven track record in sourcing, supplier management, contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
