Purchasing Officer (Junior Executive)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our manufacturing team in Singapore. The role supports material planning, supplier coordination and ensures timely delivery of components for production. This is a junior‑level position offering exposure to the full procurement cycle in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase requisitions, quotations and purchase order (PO) processes.
• Review demand and create purchase plans considering lead time, MOQ and pricing.
• Coordinate with Planning and Production teams to meet material requirements.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Source urgent or spot‑buy materials from the open market when needed.
• Handle rescheduling requests (pull‑in/push‑out) based on production needs.
• Control incoming materials to avoid excess inventory and shortages.
• Work with vendors and QA on quality issues such as RTV and replacements.
• Manage supplier‑related activities including PO cancellations, shipment arrangements and payment coordination.
• Support inter‑company purchasing and delivery coordination.
• Maintain and update delivery schedules and purchasing data in the SAP system.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, planning or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in EMS or semiconductor industry is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting and manage multiple priorities.
